Overview
Store Operations is a mobile-first solution built on Microsoft Power Platform that empowers frontline retail workers and managers to streamline daily operations. The app helps organizations standardize task management, track execution, and gain real-time visibility into store performance.
As the lead designer, I shaped the end-to-end mobile experience from envisioning user flows to delivering high-fidelity prototypes and design systems that guided engineering delivery. My focus was on transforming complex retail workflows into an intuitive, responsive app that frontline workers could rely on every day.
My Role and Contributions
- Led UX design for the Store Operations mobile app, driving user-centered design from concept to private preview release
- Streamlined complex workflows such as task assignments, inventory checks, and compliance reporting, ensuring retail associates and managers could complete tasks efficiently on mobile
- Created a component library with UX patterns adapted from Power Platform’s default components to ensure scalability, consistency, and faster handoff to engineering
- Collaborated with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product vision, align roadmaps, and validate designs against business needs
- Participated in bug bashes and release readiness by leading design sign-offs and ensuring quality in implementation
- Advocated for accessibility standards, ensuring the app aligned with Microsoft’s inclusive design principles
